Members, please note: The Surf Club's primary source of information updates to its members is via Surfguard. Therefore it is important that your details are kept up-to-date on Surfguard.

Membership Fees

  • Junior Activity Member - $25Aged 7 – 13 years. Has met requirements of Skills/ Fitness testing as per Junior Activities Guidelines Must have at least one parent as a financial club member

  • Cadet Member - $40Aged 13-15 years. Minimum Qualification Surf Rescue Certificate. Must meet minimum patrolling requirements as per roster

  • Active Member - $40Aged 13-15 years. Aged 15-18 years. Minimum Qualification Bronze Medallion. Must meet minimum patrolling requirements as per roster

  • Senior Member - $5618 yrs of age or older. Minimum Qualification Bronze Medallion and must maintain proficient status. Must meet minimum patrolling requirements as per roster

  • Award Member - $100Member of public who wishes to gain an SLSA award or complete a proficiency examination for an SLSA award, but does not wish to be an ongoing member of the surf club with patrol responsibilities. NOT eligible for any ongoing general access to club facilities or use of any equipment, beyond completion of relevant award course.

  • Associate Member - $15025 yrs of age or older. Eligible for ongoing general access to club facilities- use of boards/ skis only if proficient.

  • Community Member - $2518 yrs of age or older. Must be a parent of a financial Junior Activity Member. ONLY eligible for access to club facilities (building) during endorsed club functions and social activities (eg. “Sunday Sippers”)

  • Community Member - $3018 yrs of age or older. Member of the general community NOT a parent of a financial Junior Activity Member. Eligible for ongoing general access to club facilities - Building only. Junior Activity Member(s) must remain active in club activities

  • Reserve Active Member - $56Member has already completed 8 or more years of active patrol service for the club Access to this category must be applied for in writing and then granted by a vote of the club Management Committee. Must maintain proficient status in minimum of Bronze Medallion. Must meet reduced minimum patrolling requirements as per SLSA rules for the current season.
